Bren Unity sits in Doddanekkundi, next to Marathahalli, within east Bangalore's long-running IT and residential corridor. Several finished apartment projects surround it. The listing gives no street address or pincode.

The area has changed a lot since 2011, so test current commute times yourself. Note how your building sits relative to the main road and the shared facilities.

Unity offered two plans: a 2 BHK of 958 sq ft and a 3 BHK of 1,251 sq ft. Both are sold out with the developer. Resale is the only route to either size.

Ask each seller for the exact built-up area of the unit on offer. Inspect room proportions, natural light and the state of fittings after a decade of use.

The finished layout holds 432 homes on 5 acres, in buildings of six floors each. That is a fairly dense mid-rise plan, with several buildings sharing parking and open space. As the project is complete, you can walk the whole site.

Corner and upper-floor units often resell at different prices from ground-floor ones. Factor the building's position and age into any offer.

Residents share a swimming pool, a fitness centre, landscaped gardens and a children's play area. The developer's page does not itemise anything beyond these. Ask the resident welfare association for the full list.

Confirm current maintenance charges before you buy. Given the building's age, check the upkeep of the pool and gym in person.
